Why Choose Private Student Accommodation in Exeter?

Choosing where to live is a big part of your university experience. Private student accommodation in Exeter offers a modern alternative to traditional university halls or shared student houses, giving you more independence while still providing a supportive student environment.

In Exeter, where many students walk between campus and the city centre each day, having well-located accommodation can make a noticeable difference to your daily routine, particularly with the city’s hilly layout.

Purpose-built accommodation is designed specifically for student living. Rooms are fully furnished and ready to move into, while utilities, maintenance and building management are all taken care of. This means you don’t have to worry about organising bills or dealing with day-to-day household issues during the academic year.

In Exeter, location plays an important role in everyday life. The Streatham Campus sits on a hill, and many students walk between lectures, accommodation and the city centre. Living in well-located accommodation can help reduce travel time and make day-to-day routines more manageable.

Private accommodation also makes it easier to balance studying with student life. With dedicated study spaces and shared social areas, you’ll have somewhere to focus when you need to and opportunities to meet other students and feel part of a community.

With secure buildings and on-site support teams, you can feel confident that help is always available if you need it, making your time in Exeter as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Mansion Student offers a variety of room types designed for comfortable student living.

Rated 4.25 out of 5 stars.

It’s been great 6 months so far. The property not having gym or theatre amenities doesn’t bother me. The rent is reasonable for me. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Good transportation links. The only problem is that it’s about 40 mins walk from city centre but having a Morrisons just next to the property is very convenient for last minute purchase of essentials.

The property management team are really wonderful and always there to help. However the facilities are a bit older and they do have the best equipment in terms of fridges, ovens, etc. it is a fantastic location to get onto campus though, being only a 10 minute walk. I would also say the laundry is very expensive and the machines are disgusting and need to be industrial cleaned or replaced.

I love this property. I have lived here for 2 years now. This year I’m in a studio, and it’s great. The staff are always attentive (especially Luke), and there are great opportunities within this building. I’m even a student warden for the building, which was a fantastic way to earn a little money whilst making some new skills. I love this place.

Property Manager Luke Smith is great, and goes out of his way to help. Parcel collection works consistently and well. Social events are regular, and clearly the staff put in a lot of effort. Value for money is the best in the city for purpose-built student accommodation en suites, both for this year and next.
